Draft for the beta. This text is being reviewed and may change before the service opens to external users.
Who we are
LSS Analyst is run by [Company name] (business ID [Business ID]), [Postal address]. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at [contact email].
What we keep, and why
- Your account. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, your name and a Google account ID. We use them to sign you in, keep your datasets separate from everyone else's and contact you about the service. Legal basis: our contract with you.
- Datasets you upload. We store the file you upload as a dataset, with its column types and a profile (column names, types, counts, summary statistics and the most common values of category columns). We only use it to run the analyses you ask for. Legal basis: our contract with you.
- Analysis results. Each result records the method, its settings, the dataset version and the numbers the engine calculated. Results hold summary statistics, not your data rows, except a control chart, which keeps the points it plots.
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist we keep your email address, the role and first analysis you tell us about, and when you agreed. We use them only to invite you to the beta. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Feedback you send through your agent, to improve the service.
- Technical records. Error reports and server logs, to keep the service working and secure. Logs can include your IP address and the pages you request. They never contain your data rows or file contents. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
Please don't upload personal data, such as names of people, to analyse. The service is built for process and quality measurements, and you don't need personal data for them.
What we never do
- We never send your data to a language model or any other AI service.
- We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
- We use no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.
Your AI agent (for example Claude) sees what our tools return: column names, types, summary statistics (including the most common values of category columns) and analysis results. That happens under your agreement with your AI provider. Your data rows stay with us.
Where your data is
Your datasets and results are stored in the European Union. Our service providers:
- UpCloud (Finland): the servers and the file storage, in Helsinki.
- Neon: the database (account and dataset records, results), in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Google: sign-in only. Google receives no datasets or results from us.
- Sentry: error reports, in its EU region. Reports are stripped of request contents, user details and variable values before they leave our servers.
How long we keep it
- Datasets and their results: deleted automatically 30 days after upload during the beta, or earlier when you delete them. Deleting a dataset removes every version of the file and every result made from it. File storage keeps no old copies for longer than 7 days.
- Shared result links stop working after 30 days, or when the result is deleted.
- Upload links: work once, for 15 minutes; their records are removed a day later.
- Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
- Waitlist entries: until the beta ends or you ask us to remove them.
Shared result links
A result link lets anyone who has it see that one result, without signing in, until it expires. Share it only with people who should see the result. Result pages are not listed by search engines.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to its use or withdraw your consent. Your agent can delete any dataset at any time. For anything else, email [contact email]. You can also complain to the Finnish data protection authority (Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, tietosuoja.fi).
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above, and tell you by email about any important change. See also the terms of use.
